I know that complaining helps vent out our negativity, but then there are many situations, where constant complaining leads to increased negativity.
Especially in case of people who make us feel bad about ourselves the relationship just languishes and never flourishes. In such situations we can either accept it or try to change it. Mere complaining about such people is of no use.
Complete acceptance or deletion of such people is a must to be happy.
